FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH

You can join a virtual global recitation of the 14 Mindfulness Trainings of Thich Nhat Hanh's Order of the Interbeing at 9:30 a.m. EST.  Join the conference call by dialing

1-646-876-9923 - Meeting ID: 325 509 943 Password: 227146. The first 5 minutes are silent meditation and then the recitation begins.

The 14 Mindfulness Trainings are the very essence of the Order of Interbeing. They allow us to touch the nature of interbeing in everything that is and to see that our happiness is not separate from the happiness of others. The 14 Mindfulness Trainings help us cultivate concentration and insight which free us from fear and the illusion of a separate self. For more information and the text of the trainings go to:

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The New Bern Sangha is a lay led Buddhist community practicing since 2000.  We draw from the teachings of many Buddhist Masters.  We believe that the Buddhist teachings can help anyone negotiate life, no matter what religion or spiritual path they profess.

The mind is everything.  What you think you become.
